Analytical packages – Environmental Matrices

Eurofins has analyzed PFAS for many years in most environmental matrices such as water and soil. Both the number of compounds and accreditation are extensive in combination with low reporting limits (LOQ). Both regulatory demands and analytical development develop fast and there is a constant need to lower LOQs, extend the range of substances and add new matrices. Eurofins can analyse more than 40 PFAS in water (clean/unclean), soil and other solids such as sediment and sludge. The list includes "regular" sulfonates and carbonates (PFSA/PFCA), telomeres etc and a number of so-called PreFOS (PFOS precursors). In addition, "novel" PFAS such as GenX, (A)DONA, F-53B and PFECHS can be offered. Also telomer alcohols (FTOH) can be analysed. The range of packs covers EU PFAS4, DWD20/SE21/DK22, WFD and the UK DWI lists. Moreover, PFAS in biota such as fish, shellfish, fruit/veg, eggs etc can be determined using our food/biota packages with low reporting limits.

PFAS in Water – Packages

For water we offer a number of packages that can be used for testing versus certain legislation or be used for screening purposes. Accreditation for clean waters cover drinking-, surface- and groundwater while unclean waters comprise matrices such as wastewater and leachates. Also firefighting foams can be analysed but LOQs will be raised. Please state the matrix on the order form and any expected content of PFAS. For quality and handling reasons we prefer that you use PFAS bottles supplied by Eurofins. These can be ordered online free of charge here.

The table below show the most common packages for clean and unclean water. Regular TAT is 5 or 10 working days and express can be offered for most packages down to 24h. PFAS in Soil and Environmental solids – Packages

For soil and related matrices we provide a number of packages as well, largely matching those for water. These can be used be used for comparison to guideline values or for screening. The method is accredited with soil as specific matrix, but the packs can be used also for e.g. sediment, sludge and compost. Please state the matrix on the order form and any expected content of PFAS. For quality and handling reasons we prefer that you use PFAS jars supplied by Eurofins. These can be ordered online free of charge here.

PFAS in Biota – Packages
